Principles of Mathematics 9
This integrative course covers elements of algebra, geometry, statistics, trigonometry, variables and equation solving, and their practical application in problem solving.
Principles of Mathematics 10
A continuation of concepts covered at the previous level, with a greater emphasis on algebraic concepts, functions, graphing, factoring, and introductory trigonometry. Sequences and series are also introduced.
Principles of Mathematics 11
This integrative course covers circle geometry, financial calculations, functions, graphing and algebraic manipulation.
Principles of Mathematics 12
This course is designed for those wishing to prepare for a career in the sciences. Units include: graph transformations, conic sections, logarithmic and exponential functions, geometric series, combinatorics, probability, statistics and trigonometry. There is an optional provincial examination for this course. A graphing calculator is required for each Math 12 student for use in class and on the provincial exam.
